Bundeskunsthalle: Save Land

The Bundeskunsthalle commissioned an exhibition exploring the fragile relationship between land, ecology, and human impact. The design challenge was to translate complex environmental data and artistic research into an accessible, immersive spatial experience.

The exhibition merges scientific visualization with sensory storytelling. Interactive installations and large-scale projections transform abstract concepts—soil degradation, urban expansion, resource depletion—into tangible, emotionally resonant encounters. Visitors navigate through layered environments of image, sound, and data, confronting the tensions between progress and preservation.

A central globe installation anchors the spatial narrative, presenting global land-use patterns as a living, dynamic system. Surrounding stations offer localized perspectives, inviting visitors to explore specific case studies through touch, motion, and proximity-based interaction.

The result is an exhibition that bridges art and science, transforming ecological urgency into spatial awareness—inviting reflection without prescription, and positioning the visitor as both witness and participant.
